CNN Democratic Candidates Compassion Forum: no immigration questions - 04/14/08

Last night's CNN Democratic Candidates Compassion Forum at Messiah College in Pennsylvania (transcript link) contained no questions relating to immigration.

Michael Rubinkam/AP offers yet more "crops rotting in the fields" propaganda - 03/24/08

Michael Rubinkam of the Associated Press offers yet another in the long line of "crops rotting in the fields" articles, which are propaganda designed to support an immigration amnesty and/or "guest" worker program. In the current case (link), it concerns the Keith Eckel, owner of Fred W. Eckel Sons Farms Inc. who says he's going to switch from tomatoes to mechanically-harvested corn because he can't find workers. For those not in the loop, Eckel is the top dog in the Pennsylvania fresh-to-market tomato industry. Other than a few details, it's the same as the other articles and the replies are...

Disgrace: CNN Democratic debate February 21, 2008 - 02/21/08

I won't be live-blogging it, but I can tell already that tonight's Democratic debate between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama will be a disgrace. Some part of that is due to the fact that one of the questioners is Jorge Ramos of Univision. He's not only a supporter of cultural separatism, he's not a citizen - by choice - despite having lived here for over a decade.

Is Barack Obama a Muslim who practices Islam and who attended a madrassa? - 01/27/08

Is Barack Obama a Muslim who practices Islam and who attended a madrassa (madrasa) in Indonesia? Despite whatever emails you might have received, it appears that the answer to that is no. According to him, he's a "committed Christian" (link). His church is the Trinity United Church of Christ, whose pastor has made some rather questionable statements.

CNN/Youtube censored video replies on CNN debate - 12/05/07

Youtube and/or CNN censored the list of video replies to their raw footage of the recent CNN/Youtube GOP debate. On November 29, 2007 I uploaded two highly critical videos about the previous night's debate, and added them as replies to two of the CNN/Youtube-provided videos. My videos were in the list of replies for between one and three days, but then sometime on or before December 1 were deleted from the list. (Note: the videos themselves weren't deleted; they were only deleted them from the list of replies).

Youtube/CNN GOP debate: Wednesday, November 28, 2007 - 11/23/07

The second Youtube/CNN debate will be held on Wednesday, November 28, and I can tell already it's going to be as bad - if not worse - than the first one. They'll ask a series of lightweight questions, and throw in a few humorous entries designed to portray those on the internet of being wacky (in contrast to the "serious journalists" at CNN).

Rick Sanchez/CNN lies to support illegal immigration (illegal aliens in military) - 11/13/07

On this clip from Rick Sanchez of CNN (youtube.com/watch?v=amMV36RUhFo), he and William Gheen from ALIPAC (link) discuss illegal aliens and legal immigrants serving in the military. After a long cutaway report discussing a legal immigrant with a green card who was fast-tracked for citizenship, Sanchez falsely claims that he was an illegal alien.

Vicente Fox: FTAA common currency (Amero), Hillary for president, Bill Richardson, driver's licenses, lies about heathcare... - 10/11/07

On Monday's Larry King show, former Mexican president Vicente Fox: * Said that the Free Trade Agreement of the Americans (FTAA; called in Spanish ACLA) on which he worked with president Bush was to, long-term, include a common "Latin American" currency. Since that agreement would apply to the U.S., the currency would apply here as well... * Promoted immigration from Mexico, "guest" workers, and NAFTA... * Lied about U.S. citizens not paying the healthcare costs for illegal aliens... * Agreed with Felipe Calderon's claim that "Mexico does not stop at its border"... * Promoted driver'...

Rudy Giuliani tied to Trans Texas Corridor, "NAFTA Superhighway" (CNN/Youtube debate) - 09/04/07

Rudy Giuliani claimed that he'd never heard of the "NAFTA Superhighway" but his law firm is deeply involved in the Texas leg of the project. Here's a relatively mild question I put together for the upcoming CNN/Youtube debate about that discrepancy; please go to his campaign appearances and try to ask him this question:

CNN/Youtube: Don't ask Mike Huckabee this question - 08/02/07

Dear CNN: Please do not choose the following video for the upcoming GOP debates.

Enter the CNN/Youtube "Debate" Contest Meta-Contest! - 07/22/07

As we all know by now, on Monday CNN and Youtube will be holding a debate which will most likely be a "debate". The moderator is none other than Super Puffball Anderson Cooper, former anchor for a news program for kids (Channel 1). Some of the questions will be provided by users of that service, and in fact there have been over 2000 entries so far.

What Paula Zahn forgot: the Irish Lobby for Immigration Reform gets money from the Irish government - 03/27/07

Apparently CNN's "Paula Zahn Now" features a "People You Should Know" segment, and in a recent one [1] she featured Niall O'Dowd, chairman of the Irish Lobby for Immigration Reform. The link is little more than something the O'Dowd could have written himself. It ends with this: In addition to leading the Irish Lobby for Immigration, O'Dowd also founded Irish America Magazine and Irish Voice newspaper in New York. Of course, what she and her producers forgot to tell you is that the ILIR is partly funded by the Irish government. Most people don't take too kindly to foreign-funded groups trying...

More on Raul Hinojosa of UCLA - 07/15/05

Raul Hinojosa-Ojeda is an associate professor of political economy at the University of California at Los Angeles, and the MSM frequently turns to him for a "Latino" viewpoint. For instance from 2001: -- IMMIGRATION: The recently released UCLA study on the economic impact of the broad legalization of undocumented Mexican immigrants working in the United States is reported in today's Agence France-Presse, Copley News Service and Associated Press. Raul Hinojosa-Ojeda, director of UCLA's North American Integration and Development Center and author of the study, is quoted in each article. AP...
