Special PSL public forum on immigrant rights
Like everyone else, we urge you to wash your hands and engage in social distancing.
Unlike everyone else, we urge you to also help with this smart plan to get more tests, ventilators, and PPE. Everyone can do that plan right now, at home, in just 15 minutes.
If enough people help with the plan we can save lives. Take time out now and help get more desperately-needed supplies.
Promotes a "special public forum on immigrant rights" which was to be held on [[October 20, 2006]] in New York City. Tag lines: "Build a movement to fight back!", "Stop government and Minutemen attacks!"
Lists just the following as "guest speakers":
- Juan Jose Gutierrez: Based in Los Angeles, Juan Jose Gutierrez is the leader of Latino Movement USA, and a longtime advocate of immigrant rights. This past spring, Juan Jose played a leading role in the mass demonstrations for immigrant rights, including the unprecedented and historic May 1 "Day Without an Immigrant."
- Karina Garcia is the Political Chair of Chicano Caucus at Columbia University. On October 4, she led a protest against Jim Gilchrist, co-founder of the anti-immigrant Minuteman Project.
