If Jay Reeves of the Associated Press isn't getting paid off by chicken processors like Tyson Foods and Pilgrims Pride, he should be.
Reeves offers "Twister Heals Ala. Town Fractured Over Immigration" [1]. The article seems to have two purposes:

Mexican consulate to work with LULAC on Pilgrim's Pride raids? - 05/01/08
This report is less than coherent, but indicates that the Mexican consulate might want to work with the League of United Latin American Citizens, a previously patriotic group that's since been radicalized:
The Mexican Consulate from Dallas will be visiting Mt. Pleasant this Sunday, hoping to address issues and concerns after the recent raids at Pilgrim's Pride Corp.
...The objectives of the meeting, as listed by the Mexican consulate, are:
1. Have a formal organization created, either LULAC council or other;
...3. Document incidents of harassment, racial profiling, intimidation, etc...
Hundreds arrested at Pilgrim's Pride plants (immigration raids, identity theft) - 04/16/08
Hundreds of illegal aliens and presumably others were arrested today at Pilgrim's Pride chicken processing plants in Texas, Tennessee, Arkansas, Florida, and West Virginia (link). The company participated in the E-Verify program and cooperated with Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The arrests were for identity theft and document fraud in addition to being illegal aliens and/or criminal aliens.
Virginia Employers for "Sensible" Immigration Policy - 12/23/07
A new group of businesses has been formed to oppose anti-illegal immigration laws in their state, called "Virginia Employers for Sensible Immigration Policy". One of the organizers is Julia Ciarlo Hammond, state director of the National Federation of Independent Business. They'll supposedly only focus on measures affecting employers, and they state that they want to follow the law, they just don't want undue burdens. But, don't they all.

LULAC, MALDEF, ACLU, business groups fight Texas immigration bills - 02/16/07
A new, apparently unnamed coalition has been formed in Texas to fight state bills designed to reduce illegal immigration. The coalition is using the standard pretext that immigration is a federal responsibility. Of course, they realize that the feds have abrogated their responsibilities; were the feds to enforce the laws, they would push for more local control.
