Hillary Clinton: $5000 for each baby born in U.S. ("baby bonds"; including anchor babies)

From this:
See also Darrell Steinberg, Bob Dutton: give every child born in California $500 (anchor babies, bank boondoggle). That bill was brought about by the New America Foundation. One link between NAF and Hillary: Laurie Rubiner from the Clinton campaign used to be the head of their health care policy program. And, this is not a new idea: she proposed a relatively modest $500 bond last year, something that the NAF welcomed (link):
Every baby born in America should receive money that can later be used to pay for college, Clinton told the crowd at the Congressional Black Caucus annual legislative conference in Washington on Friday.I'll let others discuss all the other downsides, but I'll point out the impact this would have on illegal immigration: "every baby born in America" includes the children of illegal aliens, even if those parents have only been in the U.S. for an hour. This would have the impact of further incentivizing illegal immigration.
"I like the idea of giving every baby born in America a $5,000 account that will grow over time, so when that young person turns 18, if they have finished high school they will be able to access it to go to college," Clinton said, calling it one way to give young people a chance to save money tax free...

And, this is not a new idea: she proposed a relatively modest $500 bond last year, something that the NAF welcomed (link):
In a speech before the Democratic Leadership Council (7/24/2006), Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton called for $500 "Baby Bonds" to be established for every child at birth and at age 10. Funds could be used for college or vocational training, buying a first home, and retirement savings... "We commend Senator Clinton for proposing Baby Bonds for all newborns. Establishing these accounts would place millions of kids on a path to accumulate savings and wealth from the day they are born-- thus expanding economic opportunity and security across economic divides, and helping to build wealth across generations," said Ray Boshara, Director of New America's Asset Building Program, which aims to broaden savings and asset ownership in America... Invited to advise Sen. Clinton and her staff on child savings accounts, New America has briefed several Members of Congress from both parties, Presidential candidates, and leaders throughout the world... ...The Asset Building Program played a key role in the development of the ASPIRE Act, legislation that would establish progressively funded savings accounts at birth for every American child and introduced with bipartisan support in both the House and Senate in 2005. The program was also instrumental in developing the Young Savers Accounts proposal, introduced by Senator Max Baucus last March... To learn more about these bills, visit assetbuilding.org...UPDATE: Already history is starting to be reinterpreted:
Blake Zeff, a spokesman for the senator's campaign, said a baby bonds program "is not a firm policy proposal but an idea under consideration."

Uh, I have a question. Since the whites in this country are being genocided - with the full support of HRC, her husband, and all the other candidates and leadership of the Democrat party - where is the money going to come from? Obviously this transfer of wealth is yet another piece of that genocidal plan, but after that mission is accomplished, what then? How much of an economy is there going to be with the Latinos, Asians, and Africans fighting over the scraps?

UPDATE: Yeah, the genocide of whites is also just an idea, not a firm policy proposal. I wonder if this idea will become the new most "documented event in history" about which dozens of movies are made and it is forbidden by law to deny. Somehow I don't think so.

They know that conservatives have more children than liberals, so they are growing their own future dependent voters to feed off their public trough even further.

No Hillary!! We aren't roaring enough against her. On another note, I heard that J. LInder rep. in Georgia is trying to dodge his constituents. My sister lives in his district. Last year she said that his town hall meeting had about 400 angry people. This year he is holding the event 3 hours away. If you are in that state then go to that darn thing in spite! http://www.numbersusa.com/meetings?ID=8739

Is there really any difference between Hiliary's plan and Bush's plan for partial privatization of Social Security ? Both take money from the public coffers and put it aside in private accounts outside of the public system. Both create the sense that there is a safety-net to the safety-net.

Why didn't the Republicans do something about this problem when they had the chance?

Just what we need, more "magnets" drawing anchor brats/welfare sponges here. Pedro from Jalisco: "Hey, Juanita, the gringos are now handing out FREE baby savings accounts, in addition to the usual FREE healthcare, FREE anchor baby maternity fees, FREE Section-8 housing, FREE WIC vouchers and FREE Spanish translations. Let's head for the border and PAR-TAY!"

This is best, but worst thought out, worst presented idea I have ever seen. First of all, it need not be a gift. The government gives educational loans and grants to students all the time. Simply make a proactive dedicated educational loan at birth to each child born in America. The parent is given a limited choice of financial institutions at which to hold the funds for 18 years at commercial rates. The proceeds must be used to pay fees of any approved tertiary educational or training organization. $7500 at 8% for 18 years should yield about $33000, a perfect incentive. The government gets back its 7500 in about 25 years, who cares, the principle and principal is the thing. This is a win win, and suddenly we have the most educated workforce ever. The banks will love it. No communist take over, a win win all around. How about it?
