Trump opposes family separation, unwittingly supporting open borders

In a tweet today, Donald Trump said [1]:

"Put pressure on the Democrats to end the horrible law that separates children from there parents once they cross the Border into the U.S. Catch and Release, Lottery and Chain must also go with it and we MUST continue building the WALL!..."

1. The misspelling might be intentional to appear folksy or to entrap his opponents into retweeting him. Or, it might just be because he's dim.

2. Trump is definitely dim regarding that "horrible" policy. Family separation or the threat of it is necessary. Trump can't figure this out, but if we didn't have family separation then any illegal alien couldn't be deported if they had a U.S. citizen relative. Trump and others might not like family separation, but without it we might as well not have a border at all. Trump can't figure that out. What's even worse than that is that those he listens to haven't educated him on why family separation is necessary. Ann Coulter, Jessica Vaughn, NumbersUSA, and various FoxNews hosts and other rightwing entertainers have completely dropped the ball.

3. Trump Wall isn't a solution, as detailed here many times. For instance, the Dems would move to tear the Wall down after Trump leaves office.

4. In light of the above, Trump railing about the immigration Lottery and chain immigration should be seen for what they are: "Boob Bait for Bubba".

If Trump had absolute control, we'd end up with millions - maybe tens of millions - of people coming here illegally and having children knowing they couldn't be deported. When he leaves office, what little of the "Wall" has been built will be torn down.
