Banned by Crooks and Liars
The site Crooks and Liars (Crooks & Liars, crooksandliars.com) has banned me from posting comments there. I've twice tried to comment on a recent entry, only to be confronted by a popup saying that I've been banned. I haven't left too many comments there, and a couple have been deleted in the past. Commenting there is usually pretty useless because of all the noise, but, I have lots of domain names and I don't have to provide a domain name, so...
The last comment I left remains ("TLB") in place, so perhaps they've just been too busy to do a full airbrushing:

Note: C&L has an indirect link to the Mexican government through the Blue America PAC.
The growing list of sites which can't handle the heat starts in this post about Kevin Tracy deleting a comment. Other sites engaging in that activity include "Sister Toldjah", New Haven Independent, Think Progress, Kevin Drum and/or Washington Monthly, and many others. And, of course, I was banned by RedState.

I got banned at RedState by that idiot Leon Wolf. Those opposed to the Presidents amnesty are racists. That Leon Wolf. I had been a member for over 2+ years.

Sounds like those sites are just sealed, echoing tin cans. Reasonable people would want to hear all respectfully presented sides of an issue or an argument so they could make better decisions. And they wouldn't be afraid of others hearing (reading) all sides. There are enough reasonable people out there to not sweat the tin cans.

That is part of the mexican marxist PLAN Right out of mexico city and moscow and the Bush boys for La Raza. The system is not your system but a one world third world idea of evil doers who want you inside some camp system once called the USA. Many of you have no idea of what is coming but the third world rulers can't wait to get its hands around your life, and when that happen's your kids and you will be nothing but a memory in the mind of some little mexican worker who will tell his 30 kids about the white people who he helped to remove from the face of the earth. many of you do not get what people have done in history or care about history and that will someday remove you from the face of the earth.

just got banned from crooks and liars. they threatened to publish one of the poster's email addresses and i called them on it. i did so politely but assertively. i'm on the left and though we may disagree on many issues, we agree on this, censoring because you go against party line is bullshit and cowardly. john amato is a feckless little boob and control freak.

I think I was banned too (C&R) just now. I got a little ornery with a troll and *poof* I'm getting pink "error" pop-ups when I click submit. I'm often out of line, though. But I don't see what the point of it is, if you just go comment in order to follow a line. I'm a good lefty, banned from 3 high-visibility liberal blogs. The only big one that hasn't is HuffPo, but they disappear a great many of my comments. These sites are afraid of what might be said of them on TV and at opposing blogs. They don't want to be judged by what WE say in the comments, in case someone on the other side should point a finger and GASP. I like The Raw Story, their moderators are very cool, their stories varied and plentiful. They're on the left, but many strong comments come from the right and are never deleted.
