Demonstrators carried signs and wore T-shirts calling for 'worker solidarity, erasing all borders and immigration reform. Others condemned the Minutemen border watchers, federal raids on business that hire undocumented workers throughout the country and stationing National Guard troops near the border.
It was organized by the Portland Immigrant Rights Coalition, consisting of "unions, civil rights groups and immigrant advocates" together with "churches and political causes". One of the quote sources is Dan Denvir, IDed as a spokesman for the Portland Central American Solidarity Committee.
