Donald Trump signals support for anti-American DREAM Act and DACA
Donald Trump has been named Time Magazine's Man of the Year, and in an interview with them he said this about the so-called "DREAMers":
"We're going to work something out that's going to make people happy and proud. They got brought here at a very young age, they've worked here, they've gone to school here. Some were good students. Some have wonderful jobs. And they're in never-never land because they don't know what's going to happen."
"DREAMers" are illegal aliens who'd be covered by Barack Obama's DACA program and the various forms of the DREAM Act. Both are anti-American: they result in displacing Americans from jobs and they take college resources that could go to Americans.
Obviously, I strongly oppose both and, if asked about them, would make intellectual arguments designed to show their supporters wrong.
Just as obviously, Trump has no intellectual argument against the anti-American DREAM Act and DACA but instead simply spouts the deceptive lines from the media.
The best solution for everyone would be some form of repatriation program, which might even involve some form of payment to the DREAMers to help them back in their home countries. The DREAMers wouldn't like that too much, but they'd adapt. That would have many benefits: it would reduce border deaths caused by those like Trump who encourage people to cross a dangerous border, it would stop braindraining countries like Mexico, and it would free up college resources for Americans.
Trump supporters wouldn't like that so much because it might involve paying illegal aliens. They only support dumb, flashy things that sound tough that aren't and charlatans like Trump who sound tough but turn out to be little better than Lindsey Graham.
Want to do something about this? Let leading Trump supporters know that they have to do everything in their power to make Trump oppose the DREAM Act and DACA. If they don't, it will harm their careers (the only things they care about). See the Trump enablers page for a list. For instance, let Ann Coulter know she has to do everything she can to stop Trump from supporting the DREAM Act, or you won't buy any more of her books.
