Donald Trump's Ebola plan helped Obama continue his agenda - 05/24/16
At the height of the Ebola crisis in 2014, the elites were very keen on not putting significant travel restrictions in place. Instead, the most that happened was that inbound travelers who might have been infected were given cursory examinations at U.S. airports. Obama and other leaders implemented that policy, but it was clear that the whole establishment didn't want significant travel restrictions.
CDC now admits Ebola can be spread by droplets, contact with surfaces (UPDATE: CDC deletes) - 10/30/14
[SEE UPDATE BELOW]
Previously, the Centers for Disease Control ("CDC") said you could only catch Ebola from direct contact with someone infected with the virus.
Jeffrey M. Drazen, M.D. of NEJM misleads about possible Ebola response (also Rupa Kanapathipillai, Edward W. Campion, Eric J. Rubin, Scott M. Hammer, Stephen Morrissey, Lindsey R. Baden) - 10/27/14
Jeffrey M. Drazen M.D. - Harvard University professor and editor-in-chief of the New England Journal of Medicine - joins several of his colleagues in offering the deceptive editorial "Ebola and Quarantine" [1]. I'll briefly quote the editorial and then describe how it's misleading. The full list of authors of the editorial is at [2].
First, here's part of what they say:
Ask this Ebola question, earn $100 - 10/20/14
I'll give $100 (make that $170, see below) to the first person who uploads a video of them asking a national Democratic Party politician this question (subject to the rules below):
"If we'd had travel restrictions with West Africa, wouldn't it be much less likely that two American nurses would have been infected with Ebola inside the U.S.?"
The rules are very simple:
Obama let Ebola into the U.S. How much will that cost us? - 10/16/14
Barack Obama let Ebola into the U.S. He could have instituted travel restrictions without much effort, but instead he allowed commercial flights originating in Liberia to continue. As a result, Thomas Eric Duncan traveled to the U.S. and infected at least two others.
All of that was preventable with commonsense travel restrictions that wouldn't interfere with the response to Ebola.
Question about Ebola and skilled immigration - 10/06/14
This question is part of the Stop Amnesty Challenge. See that page for the details on the Challenge.
This is the basic question:
I'd like to ask you about immigration to the U.S. by skilled professionals, something you support.
Why we'll have more Ebola cases in the U.S. and how to do something about it - 10/02/14
The only way to stop the spread of the Ebola virus is temporary travel restrictions from the affected area to other countries. Those who must return to the U.S. need to be quarantined for the incubation period of the virus. Otherwise, there will be more cases in the U.S.
