Did the Hillary Clinton campaign threaten Laugh Factory to take a comedy video down? - 11/19/15
According to Judicial Watch (link):
In what appears to be a first for a serious presidential contender, Hillary Clinton’s campaign is going after five comedians who made fun of the former Secretary of State in standup skits at a popular Hollywood comedy club.
Lax DHS policies resulted in illegal alien drunk driver killing a nun - 03/04/11
Due to lax policies on the part of the Department of Homeland Security, an illegal alien who had been convicted of drunk driving and had a series of other run-ins with police was not deported immediately. Instead, he was put into DHS' "Alternatives to Detention" program and in August 2010 he drove drunk and killed a nun and seriously injured two other nuns.
Read about it here, including the following from a report that the DHS appears to have tried to keep secret:
On May 7, 2009, after Montano served the portion of his sentence that had not been suspended, ICE took him into custody. Based on...
Phoenix' Phil Gordon cleared of questionable campaign payments to girlfriend (technicality) - 12/29/09
From this:
Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon, a renowned open borders advocate who claims detaining illegal immigrants violates their civil rights, was under investigation for giving his girlfriend more than $340,000 to help him get reelected and raise funds for various city initiatives. More than half of the money - at least $200,000 - was paid while the 58-year-old mayor was romantically involved with the 38-year-old consultant.
Arizona law forbids these sorts of shady arrangements in which politicians’ family members, or the politicians themselves, benefit from such campaign largess. Girlfriends...
TSA gave "trusted agent" security badges to illegal aliens - 12/20/09
From this [1]:
In the latest of many shameful lapses, the federal agency in charge of securing the nation’s transportation system approved background checks for a dozen illegal immigrants working in sensitive areas of a busy U.S. airport.
The illegal aliens, from Central America and Mexico, worked in operational areas of Stewart International Airport, a 2,400-acre facility located about 60 miles north of New York City. Stewart is a major passenger airport for the state’s mid-Hudson region that also handles large quantities of cargo and serves as a military field... ...[the TSA gave] the...
DHS sued to release 287g reform documents (Judicial Watch, FOIA) - 09/28/09
From their press release (link), Judicial Watch has filed a FOIA lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security, seeking that they release documents about their proposed "reforms" to the 287g program. JudicialWatch filed a FOIA request in July; the DHS responded by asking for more time but apparently never followed through. Here's what JW wants:
-- The new standardized Memorandum of Agreement used to enter into 287(g) partnerships, as announced by Secretary Napolitano on July 10, 2009, as well as any documents containing information on the development of the agreement;
-- All new 287(g...
Sonia Sotomayor, the Puerto Rican Legal Defense and Education Fund, and more quotes (on PRLDEF board for 12 years) - 06/13/09
This post will round up Sonia Sotomayor's involvement with the far-left, illegal immigration-supporting Puerto Rican Legal Defense and Education Fund (PRLDEF), nowadays called "LatinoJustice PRLDEF". See below for some of the details on her involvement with that group and even more questionable quotes from her.
Hillary Clinton: not eligible to be Secretary of State? (emoluments, Judicial Watch) - 01/29/09
Judicial Watch has filed a lawsuit on behalf of State Department employee David Rodearmel claiming that Hillary Clinton isn't eligible to head that department (link):
The lawsuit maintains that Mrs. Clinton is constitutionally ineligible to serve as Secretary of State and that Mr. Rodearmel cannot be forced to serve under the former U.S. Senator, as it would violate the oath he took as a Foreign Service Officer in 1991 to "support and defend" and "bear true faith and allegiance" to the Constitution of the United States.
Under the "Emoluments" or "Ineligibility" clause of the U.S....
Gavin Newsom's San Francisco violated federal law? Perks for illegal aliens, and much more - 08/03/08
Apparently the thought of "Governor Gavin Newsom" is as scary to the San Francisco Chronicle as it is to the rest of us, because they've actually done some real reporting on Frisco's sanctuary policy and their habit of supporting illegal immigration.
First up is "Illegal immigrant arrested 5 times before feds told", about a 26-year-old crack dealer's trips through the revolving door (link).
Then there's "S.F. fund aids teen felons who are illegals" (link):
As San Francisco's juvenile justice system shielded young illegal immigrant felons from possible deportation, Mayor Gavin Newsom's office...
Federal Reserve is completely corrupt (Directo a Mexico) - 12/06/06
The U.S. Federal Reserve is encouraging and profiting from illegal immigration by tapping into the remittances market (money sent from workers in the U.S. back to their home countries).
A significant portion of the money sent to Mexico was earned by illegal aliens who were involved with the illegal activity associated with illegal immigration: illegally entering the U.S., document fraud, ID theft, hiring an illegal alien, etc.
