This site doesn't normally stoop so low as to link to a TMZ report where they conduct a sidewalk interview with U.S. Rep. Loretta Sanchez, and she responds in a way that's consistent with those who are high on something.
There was an anti-Loretta Sanchez/pro-Tan Nguyen rally in Orange County yesterday, and the pictures are here. I don't necessarily agree with the racism charge, but she certainly is an ethnic demagogue. The House "Homeland Security Democrats" have released a report (PDF file) taking the administration to task for their failures to secure the "homeland".
From Dan Stein of FAIR: I attended a Capitol Hill hearing today [March 10] on "Interior Immigration Enforcement Resources." No one could have missed the fact that Democrats are preparing to pounce on the Bush administration's failure to fully fund authorized detention space and ICE enforcement agents.
Liberal Boxer was third top vote getter in the nation The other way California's loopier Senator came in third? Various Congressional aides and other wonks voted her #3 in the "No Rocket Scientist" category. Here are the complete results for that category: Senate: 1. Tie: Rick Santorum (R-PA), Patty Murray (D-WA) 2. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) 3. Tie: George Allen (R-VA), Jim Inhofe (R-OK) House: 1.
