Missouri gov. Jay Nixon very misinformed on Arizona immigration law
The video at peekURL.com/v974ggi shows Missouri governor Jay Nixon being asked about the new Arizona immigration law and whether he'd support such a law in his state. He doesn't want it in the current session of their legislature, and he's also very confused over what the Arizona law does (see the last link for long discussions about what it actually does):
I don't think folks... should be, without some level of probable cause, pulled over and required to show their papers... [Asked about whether he'd support such a bill if there is a probable cause provision:] I don't think that's what happened in Arizona... I think Arizona requires individuals, regardless of who they are, any time someone comes up to them demand to show their papers, in essence to say they're legal citizens... I don't think that's the hallmark of America... I don't think it's necessary to have that level of personal intrusion
