Ask this Ebola question, earn $100
I'll give $100 (make that $170, see below) to the first person who uploads a video of them asking a national Democratic Party politician this question (subject to the rules below):
"If we'd had travel restrictions with West Africa, wouldn't it be much less likely that two American nurses would have been infected with Ebola inside the U.S.?"
The rules are very simple:
1. You have to ask this at some sort of public event where the politician is taking questions. You can't just shout it at their back, it has to be in some sort of context where they're expecting questions and they'll provide a response. You can't violate any laws trying to ask the question (i.e., don't jump a fence or barge into a private meeting).
2. Upload to Youtube a public video of you reading that simple question verbatim, and the full response from the politician.
3. The politician must not have come out for travel restrictions. Those eligible include anyone in the Obama administration, Frieden of the CDC, Fauci of the NIAID, any Democrat in the U.S. House or Senate, any Democratic Party candidate running for U.S. House or Senate, and Ben Orman. Democrats that want travel restrictions (Sinema, Grayson, perhaps others) are excluded. Democrats in or running for state-level and lower office are excluded.
4. When the video is available, tweet @24AheadDotCom_ . The first person to do that will get the prize, if they've abided by the rules above.
That's all you need to do to pick up $100! You won't be able to fly to Hawaii on that, but you'll have done a public service and all you have to do is read a question.
10/24/14 UPDATE: Disqus user CryptoReporter says: "I will add to the pot as well and send them 0.2 bitcoin ($70 USD)." So, the total offer is now $170.
Want to win even more? See the Stop Amnesty Challenge. The questions are a little more complex and you have to press for an answer, but you can also pick up even more money (I'm personally funding this Ebola question).
