KHQA pulls 11/5 article on Obama meeting with Blagojevich (cached copy)

COVID-19 Response

Like everyone else, we urge you to wash your hands and engage in social distancing.

Unlike everyone else, we urge you to also help with this smart plan to get more tests, ventilators, and PPE. Everyone can do that plan right now, at home, in just 15 minutes.

If enough people help with the plan we can save lives. Take time out now and help get more desperately-needed supplies.

On November 5, Iowa/Illinois/Missouri TV station KHQA published "Who will fill Obama's senate seat?", which said that Barack Obama would be meeting with recently-arrested Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich on the afternoon of 11/5. It was previously at this link, but that now says it's "unavailable".

However, here's a copy from the Google cache:

Ill. governor meeting with Obama today

CHICAGO, ILL. -- Now that Barack Obama will be moving to the White House, his seat in the U.S. Senate representing Illinois will have to be filled.

That's one of Obama's first priorities today.

He's meeting with Governor Rod Blagojevich this afternoon in Chicago to discuss it.

Illinois law states that the governor chooses that replacement.

There's already been speculation about his selection...from Congressman Jesse Jackson, Jr. of Chicago's south side who co-chaired Obama's presidential campaign, to recently-retired state senate president Emil Jones, to the governor himself.

It's likely the governor will make his decision quickly so the new senator will get some seniority before newly-elected senators take office in January.

Part of the timing depends on when Obama officially vacates his senate seat.

KHQA's Alexis Hunt is speaking with Illinois Senator John Sullivan today about his thoughts on that replacement process, his time working with Obama in the state senate, and if there's a chance Sullivan might play a role in the Obama administration. Watch KHQA News at 5:00, 6:00 and 10:00 p.m. tonight to hear what he has to say.

Look guy's this is normal both sides make evil deals with each other from the cop to the president total corruption is normal just look at what is happening now but don't think the FBI Is being told what to do and who to go after we all know who is in power now and may god help you all. "people all of our political guys are just total criminals". Blagojevich just got in obama's way and obama had him removed.

Amazing that they are the ONLY place that posted the story? But as a Quincy resident we know that they're a pretty sorry excuse for a news operation. Their 'catch-phrase' is "Because Accuracy Matters". A press release becomes an unverified news story. Seems that maybe that story really didn't air at 5, 6 and 10. Webmaster / news director asleep at the desk. No conspiracy here...
