First Panderer: Michelle Obama says Hispanics shouldn't have to live in fear of immigration raids

From this:
And, needless to say, Paulson didn't do any real reporting by pointing out to MO that she's either peddling a fantasy or she's supporting open borders. The "comprehensive immigration reform" plan that Barack Obama supports supposedly includes stepped-up enforcement. If that enforcement is performed, then those Hispanics who are here illegally would still "live in fear". If no or little enforcement is performed, then she's supporting something approaching open borders.
Hispanics should not have to live in fear of raids by immigration agents, Michelle Obama told a Hispanic caucus to the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday.Unfortunately, AP "reporter" Steven Paulson didn't provide MO's exact quote in regards to the first paragraph, making it a bit difficult to discuss exactly how she's wrong, and I've been unable to find a transcript of that part. Another part of the speech is here: my.barackobama.com/page/community/post/laurinmanning/gG5l8b
..."We would have an immigration policy that brings 12 million people out of the shadows," she told cheering caucus members who shouted "Yes we can" in Spanish.
Hispanics are often the first to suffer in an economic downturn and the last to benefit during a recovery, she said.
She told the caucus that blacks and Hispanics share an interest in providing access to affordable health care, education and economic opportunities for all Americans, not just a select few.
"We all know our country's journey toward equality isn't finished yet. We have more work to do," she said.

"She told the caucus that blacks and Hispanics share an interest in providing access to affordable health care, education and economic opportunities for all Americans, not just a select few." Illegal aliens are "Americans" now by Michelle's declaration.

I guess whites don't share any interest with blacks or hispanics either. Most of the poor in this country are white. Why are racists like Michelle given a platform in the national media?

Well said petty bourgeois. "Hispanics should not have to live in fear of raids" Hispanics don't. Illegal aliens do. Or is she saying only hispanics are illegal aliens? "blacks and Hispanics share an interest in providing access to affordable health care, education and economic opportunities for all Americans" An interest in 'providing', or an interest in 'consuming'. Big difference. "We all know our country's journey toward equality isn't finished yet." What is she talking about? Government already guarantees 'enhanced' opportunities for designated groups. Less than equal opportunity for everyone else. Or is it an equality where we all share a standard of living with the lowest common denominator, the equality of Marx, instead of the freedom of Jefferson? I would prefer a government that stays out of the way, so that free individuals can be free. Free to be unequal. Free to rise or fall based on their own efforts. Without government mandated discrimination/preferences artificially tilting the playing field.

I see nothing wrong with living in fear if you are in this country illegally. If you voted with your feet and came here in violation of our laws, there is no reason why you should not fear deportation. I expect you to live in fear. And yes, she does have a mastery of the Marx/Engels lexicon and failed ideology of "equality" (punishing success with higher taxes), courtesy of Princeton.

It's about time lawbreakers were fearful.... they have broken the law for far too long without consequences. Time to "change" that crap. By the way i think Michele Obama is scary. I think she has every wish to exact her revenge against whitey for doing her wrong...(like giving her an education AND making her a millionaire)....inmagine if she had a real gripe?

"Hispanics should not have to live in fear of raids by immigration agents" - Michelle Obama I guess she feels it's quite alright for Americans to live in fear of losing their jobs and culture and language....or fear having their identities stolen, and not to mention the wild west shootouts from hispanic gangs and worst of all the hordes of anti-US anchor babies born to millions upon millions of squatting mexicans nationals? She now wants to give the lawbreakers the same rights as us citizens? That my friend is treason, plain and simple.

There's only one way to eliminate fear of breaking the law and that's impunity. By her own words then, she supports exemption from punishment for breaking federal law--at least for people of a particular ethnicity. How are people like this taken seriously? By the Lonewacko traditional plea, this is a GREAT quote to ask her a question with if they let her out to campaign. Very easy to make loaded and let her discredit herself with the clear implication of her own words.
