As one of his first acts, president Barack Obama has issued a proclamation on Whitehouse dot gov proclaiming that January 20 is our new "National Day of Renewal and Reconciliation". Unfortunately, what exactly that means isn't explained, although the presumed subtext doesn't sound too good at all.
