Howard Berman's massive amnesty for Central American illegal aliens

The L.A. Daily News reports in "Bill would give some Central Americans green cards" that Rep. Howard Berman (D-Van Nuys) has introduced a bill to give said cards to 200,000 people from El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras. "Many" are illegal aliens, "others" are here under a temporary visa of some kind. I'd imagine that a very good percentage of those live in Los Angeles.

Supporters include Reps. Hilda Solis, D-El Monte (a quote: "We are all Americans, whether you are legalized or not"), and Linda Sanchez, D-Lakewood (supports Mexico's Matricula Consular cards, and more).

"TPS"

The "T" here stands for temporary. If the program is going to be turned into something that will result in such large numbers of new permanant residents, both today in presumably in the future, Americans should have some sort of say in it. At a minimum, the name of the legal moniker should be changed.

Morphing TPS status into permanent residency for those nations named can hardly be justified on the grounds under which the refugess originally arrived.

This is actually a good idea, but it should also be extended to those that qualify for TPS.

The left is always for freedom for aggression, so it makes sense that they would delight in devaluating our citizenship. What a great chance to smash the fat selfish rich Americans; piling low income illegals on to all sorts of programs.
