.@espnSteveLevy: #USWNT match attendance: 26k+ (it would've been more but it was sold out). #XFL attendance is less, but ESPN's obsession with kneeball might pay off after enough concussions.

.@espnSteveLevy: Jimmy Wichard thinking: "People are hot and dry, they want something cold and wet." ESPN suits thinking: "This is Fall, every sports fan just wants to see 'football' & basketball." Please urge them to show real football (soccer) & winter baseball too.

.@espnSteveLevy @kuhnj30: kneeball is a joke. Real football players don't need a politburo to direct their every move, there's constant action (not 30s to 10m btw each play), players have to play offense & defense, etc etc. Plus it's culturally corrosive: Ray Lewis in HoF, etc...

ESPN has yet another real football double-header on Friday. They haven't yet switched into all-kneeball-all-the-time mode & for that we're thankful. @espnSteveLevy #football = #soccer

.@espnSteveLevy: #ESPN execs have SSAD (Sports Seasonal Affective Disorder) + OCD. When autumn rolls around, it's kneeball 24/7. Even as millions have stopped caring about kneeball, ESPN keeps pushing it. Please urge the suits to provide alternatives: baseball, soccer, etc.

.@espnSteveLevy: as you know, I tend to complain about #ESPN playing anything that isn't soccer or baseball. However, showing some climbing - even the indoor variety - makes for a good change every once in a while.

On board with that. I’ll be there to cheer the 2019 Isles. Best response to JT in the house. Win the game! https://t.co/laLmUn6KtE

.@ralphmacchio: it's ironic @espnSteveLevy RTs you. When's the last time you saw a hockey game on ESPN? Instead, their OCD makes them show basket 24/7. They should *also* show hockey, winter baseball, and soccer (even if it's not U.S.)

.@espnSteveLevy: you have rights to show most famous athlete in the world. Do you: a) hype him, grow interest, show his games, *then* put some games & extras on PPV, or b) go straight to PPV despite few in USA knowing who he is? Related: is ESPN smarter than a 5th grade Trump?

.@espnSteveLevy: basketball - at its peak 19 years ago, in the playoffs - got ~20% rating. Despite that, ESPN thinks everyone's a fan & shares their basketball monomania. Not only that, they get blacked out in 2nd biggest media market in USA. Plz urge ESPN suits to show soccer.

.@espnSteveLevy: Univision's #SportsCenter manages to stay on the air with mostly soccer hilities & w/o (AFAIK) spending billions on a dying league (NFL has ~10 years) or on a league with a hard ceiling (NBA ratings haven't broken 20% for 19 years). ESPN suits are doing it wrong.
