Ex-Donald Trump advisor Steve Bannon spoke at a conference for France's Front National and gave them incredibly bad advice. He told them [1]:

Let them call you racist. Let them call you xenophobes... wear it as a badge of honor.

That's how lunkheads do things. Thankfully, Marine Le Pen is not a lunkhead so the chances of her taking Bannon's incredibly bad advice are slim.

When someone calls you such names and they don't apply, point out a) you aren't, b) they don't know you, c) they using an argument that's ad hominem and thus invalid, and d) they're trying to stifle debate.

Don't ever repeat their smears or engage in all the other idiotic actions most do such as "some of my best friends", etc. Don't wear the smears as a "badge of honor".

Instead, ask them to detail their proposed non-racist policies now and in the future. They'll either not come up with anything and you can then point out they aren't serious and don't understand the issue, or they'll come up with a plan that won't work and you can show how it won't work. You can also point to how they aren't credible on other things (which is usually the case).

Bannon followed the above by saying "Because every day, we get stronger, and they get weaker." Obviously, in reality, that's not the case. Trump, Breitbart News, and so on are stuck at a certain level of support. They aren't trying to broaden their base by making smart and rational arguments. Instead, they only know how to appeal to the same relatively small audience.

If you want to build a site that appeals to a certain limited group of people, take Steve Bannon's advice. If you want to do smart and rational things that will undercut amnesty supporters, do not under any circumstances take his advice.
