Today is "Be Civil When Debating President Bush's Immigration Plans Day"

Earlier today, President Bush called for civility regarding debating the immigration issue: "When we conduct this debate, it must be done in a civil way".

For the rest of the day, this site will honor his wish.

It seems to me President Bush set the tone for this debate when he called law-abiding American patriots who were concerned about his failure to fulfill his Constitutional Duties by securing our borders during a time of war, "vigilantes".

I believe it was Karl Rove who accused JD Hayworth of, "not wanting to help the little brown people", when Hayworth was critical of the Administrations immigration policy.

This Administration never seems to miss an opportunity to play the race card. When we were critical of Harriet Miers we were called sexists. When we opposed handing over our ports to Osama's hunting buddies we were called racists.

And now President Bush wants us to be civil? Well he can kiss my half-hispanic butt!

In other words traitors and foreign agents may not be called such; but any restrictionists can be called nazis, racists, nativists, classists, and diagnosed with some special xenophobia which is not in any psychology diagnostic manual, and all that will be considered quite civil.
