AVWatch: Villaraigosa's most worthwhile cause yet

Sure, being a leader with a racial separatist group was bad, and those Chicano Power handclaps in the California legislature were bad too, but Los Angeles mayor Antonio Villaraigosa has finally found something that's slightly not bad and that's worthy of his talents:

The mayor of Los Angeles wants an independent review of the elephant quarters at the Los Angeles Zoo, to help determine the future of the animals...For those in the species, everything. For those outside the species, nothing.
I have been reviewing the elephants' situation at the Los Angeles Zoo and have concerns that warrant an independent review and analysis, Villaraigosa wrote in an Aug. 12 letter to Chief Administrative Officer Bill Fujioka. I want an insightful study on the whole issue so we can do what is best for the zoo and, especially, for the elephants...

I'm glad somebody (the Lone Wacko) in L.A. is watching out for the elephants at the zoo. I am stunned that Villaraigosa would trade the zoo's magnificent animals away in exchange for election votes from dangerous animal extremists. KCOP aired a segment about this around midnight on Sept. 20 - well buried from the public view.
