S.744 Immigration bill - Sec. 3702: BANNING HABITUAL DRUNK DRIVERS FROM THE UNITED STATES

    (a) Grounds for Inadmissibility- Section 212(a)(2) (8 U.S.C. 1182), as amended by section 3401, is further amended by inserting after subparagraph (I) the following:

        `(J) HABITUAL DRUNK DRIVERS- An alien convicted of 3 or more offenses on separate dates, at least 1 of which occurred after the date of the enactment of the Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act, related to driving under the influence or driving while intoxicated is inadmissable.'.

    (b) Grounds for Deportation- Section 237(a)(2) (8 U.S.C. 1227(a)(2)) is amended by adding at the end the following:

        `(G) HABITUAL DRUNK DRIVERS- An alien convicted of 3 or more offenses on separate dates related to driving under the influence or driving while intoxicated is deportable.'.
