Dick Morris: McCain should stress that Obama's healthcare plan covers illegal aliens
Posted Mon, Jul 21, 2008 at 8:34 am
Former Vicente Fox payee Dick Morris has previously stated that one of John McCain's key talking points should be that Barack Obama's universal healthcare plan covers illegal aliens. He has a point, but as he himself admits McCain is probably too wimpy to mention that out of the misguided belief that - since the NCLR would disapprove - he'd hurt himself with the largely mythical Hispanic vote. From his latest:
...Obama has said, proudly and often, "I am going to give health insurance to 47 million Americans who are now without coverage." But are they "Americans?"
That 47 million statistic includes illegal immigrants - who virtually all lack insurance. In fact, about one in four of those lacking insurance is here illegally. And they are, by far, the group most in need of health insurance...
...But do we really want to give them federally paid coverage equal to what US senators get, as Obama proposes?
... Covering illegals adds dramatically to the cost of any program - and would encourage more folks to enter America illicitly.
Obama's plan will likely have a horrific effect on some local health-care systems...
...But now [illegal aliens would] be eligible for the entire range of medical services, all free of charge. That would trigger severe rationing: bureaucrats deciding who gets to see an oncologist, who can have an MRI - and even who can have bypass surgery and who'd die for lack of it...

The truth is all sensible populist kitchen table economic and domestic legislation is being held hostage by the Hispanic Congressional Caucus. If illegals are not included they threaten not to vote for it. However, as in the case of the SCHIPP expansion bill many Blue Dogs and Republicans will not go along if tough enforcement measures designed to prevent illegals from taking advantage of the social welfare system are not mandated. Something like the equivalent of secure ids along with E-verify. But of course chicken sh*t liberals like Pelosi then blame the Blue Dogs for being fiscally responsible. Pelosi and Reid are not tough enough to call the Hispanic Caucus's bluff and make it widely known that they are a primary obstacle to Universal Healthcare. The problem for the Democratic leadership is that large segments of the public has figured this out already. That is why approval ratings of congress are so abysmal. Obama is a complete idiot. Honestly he would rather champion a issue 3/4 of the electorate are dead set against, amnesty for illegals, than an issue that has broad public appeal like Universal Health Insurance. That is why the Democrats are going to lose in November

here is some news about the political system we live under, the Electoral College has almost picked McCain as the next president it appear that most insider understand one fact about McCain he will do as he is told and Obama would get out of line and obama appears to want to much money to stay in line, so your next president with the help of billions of dollars sent by our boys in south american who need new lands for its people have made McCain the new butt boy for the drug dealers, say hi to the new king, watch out people if you are working for some service business/corporation or company you may as well kiss your job goodbye, McCain will not only have the power to flood millions inside the former usa but the end game is to remove you as a people, once more McCain is your new President SEE: ELECTORAL COLLEGE 14 PERCENT MORE FOR McCain over Obama, McCain is the winner!
