It begins: FireDogLake wants readers to go to politicians' public appearances

The Netroots/Nutroots is doing something that will hopefully lead to something that I've been pushing for almost two years: regular citizens going to public appearances by politicians and asking them tough questions rather than the puffballs lobbed by the MSM. FireDogLake's Blue America PAC hosts a page where you can search for public appearances or protest/flier distribution activities in your area: action.firedoglake.com/page/event/search_simple

They want their readers to input events and [1]:

use it to coordinate a meeting with a Senator or Representative, and then publish a notice so that other folks can also get involved. Or track public appearances of elected officials in local venues. Or put together a planning meet-up to come up with ideas to educate the public on FISA-- like leafletting or showing up at parades with signs... We've been collecting some information about public appearances for elected officials -- especially for Senators so that we can take immediate action on FISA.

Like as not, if their readers do anything most of them will stage lame demonstrations instead of asking tough questions and then uploading video of the responses. But if some of them do the latter, that might encourage those who oppose massive/illegal immigration to follow suit.
