"The criminal raid on Social Security"

Michelle Malkin:

My 8-week-old son's Social Security card recently arrived in the mail. On the back, there's a stern warning: "Improper use of this card or number by anyone is punishable by fine, imprisonment or both."

Welcome to the world of government theft and selective enforcement, my boy.

While innocent babes who have yet to earn a penny are threatened with jail time for misusing Social Security cards, the Bush administration appears set this week to turn the ailing government pension program into an international relief fund for illegal alien workers who used counterfeit Social Security cards and stolen numbers to secure illegal jobs.

Unlike the bedtime stories I tell at night, I am not making this up...

Comments

I just found your blog, probably for the first time, via the link from your comment at the recent blog entry on this subject at Reason's 'Hit and Run.'

I have already posted several other comments at other weblogs on this subject. Michelle Malkin is a great columnist, and she had done an excellent job of covering and writing about this issue. Unfortunately, the Bush administration has chosen to continue its shameful pandering and pimping in this area, and as a result, we may end up getting policies that further worsen the problems that our country has already been having.

I am going to now look at some other entries at this blog... I suspect that I may like what I see. (You can check out my blog, if you want... It's been running since the fall of 2002.) Keep up the good work here.
