Many Mexican-Americans and Mexicans use the term wetbacks/mojados. There's even a movie with that title: mojadosmovie.com

That doesn't mean that it's acceptable to use that term. However, attempts to complain about someone using the term "Operation Wetback" in a historical context are no less than Stalinist.
