Let's put a moratorium on using "white feminist" as an insult if you are also white & a feminist. Or white & anti-feminist, for that matter.

Thinking on this more, I think part of my problem with it is that…

When white lefties talk about White Feminism, often they're not decrying a feminism that marginalises WOC, poor women, trans women, etc.

They’re using the term to make light of feminism as a movement and using the spectre of the white, bourgeois woman to legitimise that.

They’re not calling for a feminism that is more critical and inclusive; they’re dismissing feminism as a whole as subpar, sandpit politics.

A silly little toy that rich, privileged women play with, while the real activists and thinkers do the important work.
