.@mikeleach42: FYI, in one of their "studies" @pewinternet relied on bogus data from Botometer. It's a bogus source that says there's a 40% chance Jake Tapper is a bot. That's like when Ted Cruz relied on Gateway Pundit.

.@NewMidEast: would you submit a paper that relied on #Botometer, a bogus source that says, eg, there's a 40% chance JakeTapper is a bot? A @PewInternet study relied on their data. Now I see another Pew outfit has grossly lied about the # of immigrants in the USA.

.@Dr_Tom_P: you're #UCB & you hype the bogus @PewInternet study. They based that on completely unreliable #Botometer data (eg, it thinks Jake Tapper is just slightly less bot-like than a real bot). The #Pew study isn't just GIGO, it's Lysenkoism.

.@EMARIANOMD @drjohnpatton: see the recent @PewInternet study where they tried to quash dissent using the completely bogus Botometer (which says, e.g., JakeTapper is almost as bot-like as an actual bot). #PewInternet studies aren't credible: GIGO.

.@adamgdunn: if @jabawack, #PewInternet, etc. were credible before they aren't now. Their study uses bogus data from #botometer. See the image I posted where it thinks JakeTapper is more of a bot than two fictional characters. Try it yourself with some accounts. #scholarship

Actually, it's incredibly bad scholarship akin to Lysenkoism. It's based on bogus data from botometer and the goal is to silence dissent. #censorship #Twitter MT @jabawack Bots in the Twittersphere great analysis by @SolomonMg @pewinternet
