The National Council of La Raza has sent an open letter [1] to senators Harry Reid and Mitch McConnell urging them to pass the anti-American DREAM Act. That bill would let the illegal aliens covered by it take college resources from Americans: it would deprive some Americans of college educations. And, the NCLR's letter is misleading and signed by a small grab bag of very questionable people.

GOP leaders want hearings on birthright citizenship; bogus political ploy? (McCain, Graham) - 08/03/10
* Lindsey Graham - someone frequently known as "Grahamnesty" due to his support for comprehensive immigration reform - recently said he might introduce a constitutional amendment to revoke the practice of birthright citizenship (for the children of illegal aliens; see UPDATE 3) [1].
* Jon Kyl - someone who in 2000 recommended the sister of the head of the National Council of La Raza for a judgeship - came out in support of holding hearings on the matter.
* Just today, John McCain - previously the top Republican Senator supporting amnesty - also called for hearings on the matter.

Harry Reid doesn't want illegal immigration, ACORN provisions in unemployment extension bill - 10/26/09
The Senate is deliberating passage of a 14-week extension of unemployment benefits. Mitch McConnell wants to include provisions about illegal immigration and ACORN, but Harry Reid - not surprisingly - does not (link):

"National Council for a New America": new GOP, same old amnesty? (Jeb, McCain, Romney) - 04/29/09
On Thursday, a group of putatively moderate Republicans will announce a new effort called "National Council for a New America". While they claim that they're non-partisan, it's clearly a GOP effort. And, the list of those involved that CNN has obtained (link) includes several supporters of comprehensive immigration reform.
Sen. Mitch McConnell now promoting Randroid "tea parties"? - 03/18/09
The attached somewhat slickly-edited video of news reports about the tea parties is from the Youtube user SRCC07, someone who doesn't give any indication to who they might be on their profile (youtube.com/user/SRCC07).
However, oddly enough, most of their videos appear to be things like statements from U.S. Senators, mostly Mitch McConnell. And, there's a Senate Republican Communications Center (SRCC).
Senate immigration amnesty bill: the supporters - 05/21/07
Outside a number of Senators, there aren't too many who support the Senate's immigration amnesty/"guest" worker plan. This post will keep track of them, and I urge everyone to hold those below accountable whether the bill passes or not. I also urge everyone to keep calling Congress, but, even more importantly, follow the steps previously outlined to help stop amnesty.
