Erick Erickson lies about Hawaii's governor; bans "Birthers" and "Truthers" from RedState

Erick Erickson of RedState offers "Vigilance: I’m Banning Birfers, Truthers, and Groups Affiliated Therewith" [1] (Erickson's lie bolded):

We’ve always banned truthers at RedState. Increasingly, we have also banned a number of individuals who think Barack Obama is disqualified from being President because despite the Republican Governor of Hawaii confirming the legitimacy of the Democratic President’s birth origin as a citizen of the United States... Today I want to reaffirm and make it more definitive. If you think 9/11 was an inside job or you really want to debate whether or not Barack Obama is an American citizen eligible to be President, RedState is not a place for you... Birfers and Truthers are not welcome here. Period. End of Story.

1. I was banned by RedState in March 2006; see that link for the details. They've never been able to provide a logical explanation.

2. Erickson is lying about what Hawaii's governor Linda Lingle has said about whether Obama was born there. See that link for the very many details. In brief, she made passing references to Obama being born in Hawaii on the campaign trail for John McCain. However, her office also sends out a letter in which she specifically points out that it would be illegal for an official to divulge the contents of a birth certificate and related records. That letter - printed at the first link in this section - directly contradicts what Erickson says. It's necessary to point out that that's a discrete point: no matter where Obama was born or what someone thinks of that issue, Erickson is still lying.

3. Unfortunately, I have to repeat the last part: whether Obama was born in Hawaii or on Alpha Centauri and all the other facets of that issue is independent from the fact that Erickson is not telling the truth about what Lingle said.
