Is Miranda Blue of RightWingWatch credible?

At RightWingWatch (run by PFAW, see the link below), Miranda Blue writes "The second big lie was the Right’s effort to tie the unaccompanied minors to President Obama’s executive order deferring deportation for some DREAMers. House Republicans promoted this myth when they voted to repeal the deportation relief for DREAMers as a response to the unaccompanied minors crisis. But, as we wrote at the time, that argument is based on anti-immigrant fearmongering, not on fact". (Source: "The Big Lies That Are Delaying Immigration Reform")

Yet, an open letter from DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson that appeared in Spanish-language newspapers specifically mentions how new arrivals aren't eligible for the same program (DACA) Miranda Blue mentions: "The U.S. Government’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, also called “DACA,” does not apply to a child who crosses the U.S. border illegally today, tomorrow or yesterday. To be eligible for DACA, a child must have been in the United States prior to June 15, 2007 – seven years ago. ". (Source: "An Open Letter to the Parents of Children Crossing Our Southwest Border").

Obviously, Jeh Johnson is admitting that DACA plays a role in some kids attempting to enter the U.S. illegally. Yet, Miranda Blue says it doesn't play a role.

Who are you going to believe: a blogger for PFAW, or someone in charge of the agency that gets to interview kids who've crossed the border illegally?
