Questions for Laura Meckler (WSJ)
Laura Meckler of the Wall Street Journal offers "Tech Industry's Stance on Immigration Scrutinized". Ironically, she doesn't actually do that, at least from a pro-borders perspective. The "scrutiny" in question is whether high tech supporters of amnesty are pushing a separate H1B bill rather than comprehensive immigration reform.
Real reporting would consist of Meckler looking into what the tech industry actually wants and how they'd profit from amnesty and increased immigration. Real reporting would also consist of asking the tech industry why they can't invest in American citizens rather than increasing skilled immigration, asking them about higher unemployed older tech workers, and so on. Apparently Meckler isn't paid to do real reporting.
