Atwaterian: AVNC "Special Election" marred with gross errors and irregularities

Local Fletcher Blvd. businessman Luis Lopez reports via email:
On August 11, 2005 the Atwater Village Neighborhood Council held its "special election" to fill 3 vacant positions on the AVNC Board, the governing body of our local "town government"...

Yet after the email announcement declaring that there were only four candidates and only one contested position for the board (Resident โ€“ Central Atwater) the AVNC "found" two additional candidates that supposedly flied prior to the August 4th deadline...

Arpy Simonian, a long time active and respected member of this community, lost this election. She lost this election not because of lack of community support but because the AVNC miserably failed to properly give her (and voters) proper notice that there was a 2nd candidate seeking her position...
Follow the money, my friends, follow the money. That's all I can say at this point in time. Except, I'll say one more thing: watch for the sparrow. Yes indeed, watch for the sparrow, truthseekers.
