Rep. Pete Hoekstra staffer served on Mexican government advisory board

From 2003 to 2005, Beatriz Mancilla served on the Mexican government's Institute for Mexicans Abroad, an advisory council to that government [1]. Serving on that council is basically an admission of divided loyalties, and Mancilla served alongside illegal immigration supporters such as Hector Flores and Enrique Morones.

At the same time, she received thousands of dollars working as a staff member (District Representative) for Rep. Pete Hoekstra of Michigan.

Hoekstra is a Republican who gets an career B grade from NumbersUSA (link), making this a bit more curious a case than if he were, say, Barack Obama.

If you're one of his constituents, please ask him about this at his public events and get video of his response.

[1] The page www.ime.gob.mx/ccime/directorios/dir_ccime_03_05.htm lists the members from 2003 to 2005. Mancilla is listed as being from Detroit with an email address of beatriz.mancilla *at* mail.house.gov
