Lee Stranahan spins Trump's weak-on-terrorism Muslim ban (Breitbart)

Trump's Pravda - aka Breitbart News - has a series of posts frantically trying to explain away the mess that Donald Trump and their former CEO Steve Bannon have created with Trump's Muslim ban.

Trump's Executive Order is either a sleazy political game, or a failure to think things through. The correct response is to admit that Trump's Order wasn't thought through (or he shouldn't be playing games with our safety) and vow to do things in smarter ways.

Needless to say, Lee Stranahan can't bring himself to do that. Instead, he has two posts attempting to blame others for the fallout from Trump's Order. The first is "Obama-Appointed, Schumer-Allied Judge Blocks Trump on Deportations" [1] and the second is "Terror-Tied Group CAIR Causing Chaos, Promoting Protests & Lawsuits as Trump Protects Nation" [2]. From the second:

The orders are designed to keep Americans safer from terrorism by temporarily barring visitors from Iran, Iraq, Somalia, Syria, Yemen, Libya, and Sudan from entering the U.S. without "extreme vetting" and banning refugees from these countries for at least 30 days.

It's not clear exactly what Trump's Order is really designed to do, but in any case it's not making us safer. That's described in detail in Downsides of Trump's Muslim ban and the smart alternative. If Trump, Bannon, and Breitbart truly wanted to keep the U.S.A. safe, they would have used that smarter alternative. Instead, they've increased the threat of terrorism both outside and inside the U.S.A.
