Obama releases official portrait: first taken with digital camera. Obama fan reveals ignorance.

My well of sarcasm is about tapped out, so I'll just point out that Barack Obama's official portrait has been released, and it's the first to be taken with a digital camera: change.gov/page/-/officialportrait.jpg

That's not really noteworthy in itself, but in case you want to continue to be amazed at just how ignorant Obama's fans are, the post by "SilentPatriot" from which I learned this momentous news (crooksandliars.com/silentpatriot/official-obama-portrait-released) says: "I imagine John McCain's official photographer would have used something similar to this. I kid. I kid."

And, that links to an old-time large format camera for use in studios, the not-so-distant precursor to high-end cameras still in use today to create art photographs, ads, and the like; see this page for a description. In fact, that photo is on the following page:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Large_format#Photographers_who_have_used_large_format

Doh.

What would have happened in the early days of the United States if President George Washington were succeeded along the presidential line by a hypothetical son of Major-General William Howe who commanded the British forces in the Battle of Bunker Hill and a hypothetical American citizen mother? After the hundreds of thousands of lives lost in the American Revolution, do you think that the American Constitution would have considered the aforementioned hypothetical son of General Howe and his hypothetical American wife a Natural Born Citizen? This is a good way to portray Barack Obama IIÂ’s citizenship being born to a British father and an American mother, regardless of whether he was born in Hawaii or Kenya. http://sites.google.com/site/obamabirth/
