House of Lords: immigration to Britain has had nearly zero economic benefit

From this:
Ten years of record immigration to Britain has produced virtually no economic benefits for the country, a parliamentary inquiry has found.

A House of Lords committee, which is due to report next Tuesday, will call into question Government claims that foreign workers add AL6 billion each year to the wealth of the nation.

It is expected to say this must be balanced against the increase in population and their use of local services such as health and education, resulting in little benefit per head of the population.

"Our overall conclusion is that the economic benefits of net immigration to the resident population are small and close to zero in the long run," the report will say.

The findings of the Lords economics committee threaten to demolish the key argument made by ministers to justify the highest levels of immigration in the country's history...

Same story here. Is it worth all the negative consequences of mass immigration and population growth for that whopping .2% economic benefit? And remember that is the net benefit--only certain people gain while economically vulnerable citizens are net LOSERS. These people are also loyal constituents of the Democratic Party so you'd think party leaders would say 'Hell no we will not sacrifice you' but NOOOOOOOOO, they are being cast aside in pursuit of new 'stakeholders'. This issue was actually brought up in a debate but dismissed as scapegoating by the presumptive presidential nominee. This will keep happening until elections are lost and the losses are attributed to Democratic (and swing) voters saying they felt discarded, taken for granted, and that the party favors 'them over me'.

So importing huge numbers of people who come from places where TB is rampant [1] does a modern developed economy no good at all; who would have imagined it? Note: In the UK, one in three Muslim homes have dependent children but no working adults. [2]
