BIG point to Kerry, mentioning people from the middle east coming across the border. But, too little.
He should have mentioned that just 1 company was fined for immigration violations in the first five months of this year.
Compare that stat to Bush's happy talk.

OK, here's what happened. About a half an hour before the debate, I cut my left index finger. Blood was flowing out of the cut, and it took an hour for it to finally stop.
So, I was typing one-handed for a while. And, the fact that rebuilds were taking too long meant I was forced to leave comments on the debate elsewhere. I'll get those together and post them above later.

Time to confront all these modern traitors to the American people.
Memo Federal Offices in your region. Tell them to get all their butts(including all the spokesholes, attorneys, directors, etc.) out of the offices on those borders, etc. to protect this country. Get the illegals, the cells, the gangs, all who don't belong here the hell out of our country.
So, is it time we get a bounty for any we get the hell out of our country?

Kerry talking about terrorists coming over the border might be his way to set himself up to lambaste Bush, if a terror attack occurs before the elections. If this administration has anything much against affirmative action, why don't they end the parts of it which are a matter of executive discretion? For example, there is no excuse to give out military officers' commissions on a racial-patronage, anti-merit basis; but they are still doing that, and in wartime. It is not as if they wouldn't gain five or more votes from the majority for that change, for every minority vote which they lost. An anti-merit system is bad for our national security, in recruitment of any kind, including immigration. The mass-mailings operatives say it wouldn't play well in the media, but their raison d'etre is to circumvent the mass media.

I saw your comment over at Reason. I'm wondering something:
Why do you think that the President should be oversee everything in this country? Shouldn't someone else be accountable for something? How about you? Why don't you champion the cause for the flu vaccine? You be responsible for something.
Is it the President's fault that my ass itches right now? How about the fact that the recall button on my TV remote doesn't work? What about Laurie Dhue's lips being so big? That Bush's fault too?
Seriously, is it Bush's fault about the hurricanes in Florida too? I heard Al Sharpton mention Bush's Hurricane Machine....could be....
Get a grip. Flu vaccine shortages happen all the time. It's not Bush's fault.
