Will Andrew Kirell correct his lie?
Andrew Kirell of Mediaite offers "John Oliver Flips the Script on Immigration Opponents and Their 'Undocumented Opinions'". First, Oliver is all wrong on immigration, see the detailed discussion here: http://24ahead.com/n/12051
In the post promoting Oliver's bad policies, Kirell falsely claims that Rep. Steve King '[asserted] that immigrants are mostly drug smugglers with “calves the size of cantaloupes”'.
That's not what King said. See http://24ahead.com/n/11931 for his full statement; the relevant part was this: "For everyone who's a valedictorian, there's another 100 out there who weigh 130 pounds - and they've got calves the size of cantaloupes". That does not equate to Kirell's "mostly" claim, and King wasn't referring to "immigrants" but illegal aliens.
In other words, Kirell is lying. Will he correct it?
