NFL refused DHS Border Patrol recruitment ad

The NFL refused to print an ad in the Super Bowl program from the DHS attempting to recruit Border Patrol agents.

The ad "was specific to border patrol and mentioned terrorists," [NFL spokesman Greg Aiello] said. "The game was in Miami, where [immigration] is a sensitive political issue...[it] made us a little bit uncomfortable."

Awwww.

The NFL should have thought this one through a little better. Just from the self-preservation standpoint. Without secure borders, football will fade away, because our new masters prefer soccer. Looks like good ole American football has fallen to PC wimp status. Don't want to irritate the soccer fans! Wusses.

Independent, in-depth coverage of immigration, politics, and media bias since 2002. Also: multiculturalism, Los Angeles, California, privacy, and occasionally celebrities and wacky humor...
