In case you needed them:
1. Glenn Reynolds and friends are currently whining about the lack of coverage that the tea parties are receiving. They have received some coverage, but mostly of the local variety (Orlando here). If the "parties" were in any way a threat to the political establishment, the MSM would be currently engaged in a seek and destroy mission similiar to what they did with Sarah Palin. Obviously, no one with any power is concerned about the "parties".
2. If the planners of the various individual tea parties and the national promoters of the "movement" had anything approaching a clue, they would have come up with a way to get the MSM's attention or, even better, undercut the MSM. Instead, all they're left doing is whining.
3. The "party" in Steny Hoyer's district in Maryland drew a whopping 300 people (pajamasmedia.com/instapundit/74270). His 2006 election results show his only major party opponent was a Green who got 33,464 votes. The 300 at the "party" is just 1% of that amount. In 2004, Hoyer's GOP opponent got 87,189, or about 30% of the vote.
In other words, just 0.3% of those likely to vote against him turned out at the "tea party".
Are those promoting the "tea parties" trying to give Steny Hoyer aid and comfort or something?
