Tea party intellectual argument against Claire McCaskill: lumps of coal, Joker image, carolling...

The tea parties braintrust (Missouri division) turned out in full force yesterday in front of a Claire McCaskill office and - despite their best efforts - she still supports Obama healthcare. Their efforts were, of course, encouraged by Glenn Reynolds (pajamasmedia.com/instapundit/90466). To them, it's a mystery why she'd still support it since they're doing their best: they left lumps of coal on her stoop (picture at [1]), they made a cute poster of her as the Joker character from Batman, and they even sang carols. Yet, none of that or their other protests worked.

They also held a meeting with a McCaskill staffer [2]. There are four videos on that page, and without watching any of them I can guarantee that those at the meeting simply ranted at the staffer or asked weak questions that he was able to deflect with ease.

They're doing everything according to the tea party plan, but it isn't working. Now, if we were dealing with normal people, that might cause them to reevaluate the plan and try to do things a smarter way. Obviously, things are a bit different in Tea Party Land.
