In 1977, current Barack Obama science advisor (some call him a "czar") John Holdren authored a book called "Ecoscience" with Paul and Anne Ehrlich. Shocking excerpts are here (via this). Per the penultimate link, in the book he proposed the following solutions to world overpopulation:
Women could be forced to abort their pregnancies, whether they wanted to or not;
