Carol Shea-Porter "p0wns" her Teaparty constituents, including a doctor

The video at peekURL.com/v5rn15o shows New Hampshire Rep. Carol Shea Porter basically lecturing her constituents at a townhall yesterday. Those on the video (and the one at peekURL.com/vuimsnv ) just aren't in her league. And, that's saying something since Porter appears to be quite a piece of work. Yet, none of those on either video are capable of understanding how to do things in the right way and how to take her on intellectually and show how she's wrong.

On the second video, hecklers in the crowd shout various things out; Porter pauses and waits for them to finish and then carries on with her speech. The same pointless heckling continues on the second video, and on both it's about as useful as the thoughts of a drunk at the end of a bar.

On the first video (entitled "Doctor Doesn't Get Answers at Carol Shea-Porter Laconia, NH Town Hall"), that "local doctor" asks (at least) four questions in a rambling, oftentimes barely coherent speech that lasts nearly two and a half minutes. The video description lambastes Porter for not answering the "main two questions". Porter's answer runs over seven minutes and she would have had to be a licensed transcriptionist to address all the points raised.

Not only is all this incredibly stupid, but the tea parties types don't understand how incredibly stupid it all is much less have a plan to correct their problems.

For instance, instead of finding a local doctor, they should have found a local lawyer and had him or her "cross-examine" Porter on specific points. And, they should have made sure that the "drunk at the end of the bar" types weren't shouting things into the camera. They could have focused all their energies on one experienced questioner asking one or two very good questions.

The fact that the tea party types can't do things that way is yet another manifestation of personality problems that also show themselves in their ideologies. Working with others towards a common goal is akin to Communism; stepping aside and letting someone who's more qualified ask questions is difficult to do when you think you're the center of the universe.

Note also that the second video is promoted by Ed Morrissey of HotAir; he says nothing about how ineffective the video is (hotair.com/archives/2010/04/02/
