Mexico plans to begin an aggressive lobbying effort in the United States to secure an immigration reform agreement, the country's new ambassador in Washington said Tuesday."This country", of course, refers to Mexico. He also said:
Mexican consulates in the United States will talk with state and federal lawmakers, business chambers, civic organizations and "all actors of U.S. society" who support comprehensive immigration reform, Arturo Sarukhan said.
"There are few matters so important to the future of this country," Sarukhan told reporters in Mexico City before departing for Washington.
"We are going to put into place the same kind of diplomatic and lobbying effort that we did in the early 1990s when NAFTA was being decided."What to watch for is an even higher level of propaganda from the usual suspects in the media: the NYT, LAT, WaPo, the AP, and the major networks. Something else to watch for is who he meets with, and what they say and what they mean. Any U.S. representative who gives him anything beyond a polite brush-off should perhaps consider going back with him to Mexico.

Hi, Fred. So true. And if you are referring to William O. Douglas' quote, it's still only twilight, still possible to pull this one out. The night has yet to fall. Compliments to Larry, too. Not sure if we can prosecute Mexico, but we can sure build a WALL.

Mexico should be prosecuted for encouraging its citizens to break US laws, for slavery, since it reaps the rewards of its people. It is nothing more than a thug state.
Our leaders have shown that they are unwilling to do anything but serve the interest of the mexican govt.
We need to take matters into our own hands.

The American people are overwhelmingly against any form of amnesty. We insist on enforcement. The Washington politicians are overwhelmingly in favor of amnesty. They refuse to implement enforcement. The People no longer have a representative government. How did such a total disconnect come about? Mexican oil and drug money, desiring the open borders that will come with the SPP and NAU, has bought our government. There is only a corporate "mafia" on both sides of the border masquerading as democracy. So cheaply has our leadership been bought, our Nation sold.
