Mike Huckabee is Bush++ (sanctimony, support for illegal immigration, white guilt)

The possibility mounts that Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee is a cruel practical joke, as we're informed that:
...the nation is being given a chance to make up for past racism by the way it handles the influx of Hispanics.

Huckabee, a Republican who is considering a run for president in 2008, said Arkansas has made progress on racial justice and has a fresh opportunity to do the right thing in the way it welcomes the growing Hispanic population.

"One of the great challenges facing us is that we do not commit the same mistakes with our growing Hispanic population that we did with African Americans 150 years ago and beyond. We're still paying the price for the pathetic manner in which this country handled that," Huckabee said at a meeting of the Political Animals Club in Little Rock. The club meets monthly to hear from political figures and experts.

"I think frankly the Lord is giving us a second chance to do better than we did before," Huckabee said.
If he actually believes that, he's nuts. If he has an extreme case of white guilt, he should deal with it personally and not impose it on the rest of us.

If he's just faking it, he's trying to smear those who oppose illegal immigration as racists and trying to hide support for illegal immigration behind religion. Either way, he's not only not qualified to be president, he's not qualified for any elected office.

BTW I just read that the Mexican consul's office was also involved in the San Joaquin valley strikes of 1933. In fact, one was killed in violent rioting. So, they have the long view to this problem. Do we?

the funny thing about this is all the guys helping mexico city will in the end game also become a non citizen inside a third world hell and we all know what happens to people who are not part of the ethos of evil DOERS like mexico, see people if mexico was anything like the former! USA It would have long-ago had millions and millions of other people living in its so called lands but mexicans don't like each other and hate others with real hate, if you think that the KKK Was bad news wait until mexico city starts to run this place once known as the USA. BUY GUNS.

Not so bad. Once mexico is empty, and they all live in Mike Huckabee's backyard, We can all move into one nice big empty country! Shouldn't take more than one or two Tennessee grandma's with shotguns to clear out the few who remain. Finally, an affordable beach front house! Mexico, hurry up and move out, cuz we're movin in. You're stuck with bush and our congress, however. They are not welcome in our new AMERICAN nation.

If defense of the nation is racism, go ahead and make the most of it. What some call racism, others call the ability to learn from experience. I think it was a mistake to import Africans into this country as slaves, since it has brought us hundreds of years of social problems. Yet Mike Huckabee wants to repeat the same mistake with Mexicans.
