What is "comprehensive immigration reform"?

John Derbyshire provides this handy-dandy cut-out-and-clip glossary to terms used in the immigration "debate":

When political euphemisms multiply this thick and fast, that is a clear signal that they're trying to put over something quite evil and exceedingly unpopular. If one of these amnesty supporters had the least regard for honesty, he would not be in such fear of using the word amnesty. This is what politicians do when they know they are doing wrong.
