Hugo Chavez (D-VZ) sends oil, bashes Bush, claims there's an invasion plan

Democratic Rep. Hugo Chavez (D-Venezuela), said on Nightline that the U.S. has plans to invade his country.

He also wants the United Nations to move out of the U.S. A destination country was not mentioned, but strong contenders could be Libya, Myanmar, Jerusalem, or Togo:
In a speech to the U.N. world summit, he also said the United States had failed its own people in its response to Hurricane Katrina, accused Washington of fueling terrorism and faulted it for its doctrine of pre-emptive military strikes.

"Today we know there were never weapons of mass destruction in Iraq but despite that, and going over the head of the United Nations, Iraq was bombed and occupied. So the United Nations must be pulled out of the United States," Chavez said...

Chavez noted bitterly that U.S. television evangelist Pat Robertson, a strong supporter of President George W. Bush who called for Washington to assassinate him, remained a free man. Robertson later apologized for his remark.

"This is an international crime, terrorism," Chavez said...
And:
World leaders at the summit had been asked to speak for five minutes but Chavez ran long and when the presiding diplomat passed him a note saying his time was up, he threw it on the floor. He said if Bush could speak for 20 minutes, so could he.

When he finally stopped, he got what observers said was the loudest applause of the summit...
Chavez has also sent 300,000 barrels of oil to the Gulf Coast:
The President as confirmed that before traveling to New York to attend the UN summit, Louisiana State Governor Kathleen Blanco phoned the Venezuelan President accepting his offer of help.
