To pay for all of his proposals, former MEChA member and current L.A. mayor Antonio Villaraigosa might propose a half-cent sales tax hike next year. That's not going to sit too very well with some people...

While I don“t like labels, most "liberals" think the govt has a sort of claim on your money, so all they have to do is come up with a way to exercise that claim.
