.@alexruthrauff: so, do you agree NCLR, ACLU, etc. won't do a 180 & support the tough parts of amnesty: http://24ahead.com/c/87 ? #tcot #ows

.@alexruthrauff: I & others have been pointing that out for years. Search my site for i.a. "do a 180". #immigration

.@alexruthrauff: that's not what would happen. Same people who want #immigration reform *now* will allow more illegal immigration *later*.

.@alexruthrauff: http://24ahead.com/n/3511 (stupid title in retrospect) leads to http://24ahead.com/s/postville #immigration #ows #WIUnion

@24AheadDotCom The mainstream lib position isn't uncontrolled illegal immigration. It's path a to citizenship to END 2 tiered labor market

.@alexruthrauff: collective bargaining means zip if bosses are able to undercut unions - as they have - with illegal labor. #ows #occupy

@24AheadDotCom No it doesn't mean "zip." If a factory needs 100 workers and there are 60 illegal immigrants, there's still leverage.

.@alexruthrauff: *only* realistic way to increase wages is to decrease labor supply. #WalMart etc. will *always* work around other options.

@24AheadDotCom I'm confused, are you arguing that collective bargaining and transfer payments don't affect labor supply?
Mon, Nov 18, 2013 at 7:36 pm
@alexruthrauff: I'll be collecting your response if any here: http://24ahead.com/c/87

.@alexruthrauff: you decry #Cleveland #WalMart food drive. Will you also decry those whose high #immigration policies *help* WM lower wages?
Mon, Nov 18, 2013 at 7:43 pm
@24AheadDotCom I also support welfare/guaranteed income that wld likely offset add'l job competition from immigration reform.
Mon, Nov 18, 2013 at 7:45 pm
@24AheadDotCom And I don't support fully open borders, there shld still b limits on immigration.
Mon, Nov 18, 2013 at 8:15 pm
@24AheadDotCom One last thing, I explicitly say I approve of the food drive. I'm against the political economic choices that led to it.
